Rodney Cook II
Rodney is a native Oregonian who grew up in the city of Gladstone. Passionate about sports and education, he earned a scholarship and played football at Linfield College, which led him to pursue his undergraduate degree in business management. He continued his pursuit of higher education at Warner Pacific College in Portland to earn his master’s in management and organizational leadership, and soon after obtained his CFP designation. Rodney has been a financial planner for 10+ years and is the Director of Financial Planning at Rosell Wealth Management.
Since moving to Bend in 2016, Rodney has quickly established roots in the community. Rodney volunteers on the Finance Committee for the Central Oregon Community College Foundation. He’s also a mentor for recently certified African-American financial planners around the country as well as a 2017 graduate of Leadership Bend. The best way to describe how Rodney approaches life is with his favorite quote from the late Zig Ziglar, “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”
In his free time, he enjoys all the outdoor opportunities that Central Oregon offers, including trail running, biking, softball, kayaking, skiing, and CrossFit with his wife Kira and son Makaih. Coaching young athletes in the Central Oregon Track Club is also a favorite pastime.
